Roger Himstreet

Roger Gordon Himstreet passed away Sunday January 22, 2023, in Bartlesville, OK. Roger was born in Indianola, Iowa, to Gordon and Mabel Himstreet. Roger grew up in Indianola and graduated from Indianola High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Engineering.

Roger’s first job out of college was with John Deer. He then moved to Pennsylvania to work at Westinghouse before moving to Bartlesville, OK and starting his own oil business.

Roger loved serving the Lord. He enjoyed going to church and teaching Sunday School. Roger was a regular at Weezie’s Café. He could often be found there drinking coffee and hanging out with friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Mabel Himstreet.

Roger was survived by a son Andy Himstreet and his wife Amy; daughter Melissa Joiner and her husband Corey; grandchild Riley Harris; brother Tom Himstreet; and sister Sue Deheck.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Bartlesville First Church at 11:00 am.
