Agnes Munson

Agnes B. Munson (99) passed away at her home in Nowata February 15, 2013. She was born January 27, 1914 in Neosho County, Kansas, to Christoph Samuel and Agnes Virginia (Oler) Brenneman. She attended school in Neosho County and on April 22, 1934 she married Otis Truman Munson in Neosho County. Agnes was very active in the Nowata First Baptist Church and was proud to be a member of the DAR (Daughters of American Revolution). She was also a member of the Nowata Historical Society and was active in many other groups and activities in and around Nowata. Agnes was a wonderful loving lady that will be missed by her family and many friends. Preceding Mrs. Munson in death are her parents, Christoph and Virginia Brenneman; her husband, Otis Munson; two sons, William Truman Munson, and James Otis Munson; four brothers, Merle Brenneman, Everett Brenneman, Melvin Brenneman, and Ivan Brenneman; and a step brother, Melvin Wells. Surviving Mrs. Munson are her daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Munson, of Tulsa; one grandson, Christopher Merritt Munson and his wife Carol Ann, of Orlando, Florida, many nieces nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
