Funeral services for Alfred Lee Livingston are 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Scott Owens and Waymon White officiating. Interment will follow at Winganon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Alfred Lee Livingston, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2012 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. He was born on May 14, 1931 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Gus and Ellen (Dorsey) Livingston. When still a child, the family moved to the Alluwe-Winganon area where he grew up and attended school and received his education. While in school, he met the love of his life, Cora Christine Hash, who he married on October 1, 1951. He spent his life with her and raised their two sons and three daughters. Early in his career, he worked as a pumper in oil leases in the Alluwe area prior to moving to the Bartlesville-Dewey area. He held employment with a Bartlesville Drilling Company, Chevalley Moving and Storage of Dewey, Keener Oil Company, and in 1967, he drove a truck with TRW/Reda Pump until his retirement in 1992. After retirement, Alfred enjoyed working on his "3-L" Ranch and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed annual trips to Branson with Cora, his cousin Jimmy and wife Carolyn of Vinita, and his brother Ronnie and wife Janice. Alfred is survived by his wife Cora of the home; two sons, Frank Livingston and wife Sylvia of Claremore, John Livingston and fiancé, Jewell Ware of Bartlesville; three daughters, Elizabeth Powell of Nowata, Cynthia Owen and husband Scott of Bartlesville, and Janie Grissom of Ochelata; three brothers, Ronnie Livingston and wife Janice of Dewey, David Livingston and wife Judy of Leflore, Texas, and Billy Gus Livingston of Owasso; two sisters, Madeline Inman of Dewey and Patricia Luttrell and husband Doral of Joplin, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Ellen Livingston, a sister, Florence Mae McKay, and one brother, Tommy Livingston. Family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bit-by-Bit Therapeutic Riding Clinic at 14674 S HWY 169, Oologah, OK 74053. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
