Allie Mae McGlasson, 85, lifetime rural Vinita resident went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, June, 1, 2008. Allie Mae was born on July 25, 1922 to J.W. and Bessie Walls in Estella, Oklahoma. She graduated from White Oak High School. She married Cecil McGlasson on December 24, 1940 and they made their home in the Vinita/Craig County area. She was a lifetime homemaker who was devoted to her husband and children and she was an active church member through the years at the Carselowey Foursquare Church, Emmanuel Temple Church and Log Cabin Ministries. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, daughter, Judy, parents and seven siblings. She is survived by her children, Betty Marquis and husband, Howard; Tommy McGlasson and wife, Mary, Wesley McGlasson and wife, Susan, Johnny McGlasson and wife, Debbie, all of rural Vinita, Sue Pettigrew of Springtown, TX, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and was very proud of them all. She is also survived by one sister, one brother, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services for Allie Mae McGlasson will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Life (formerly Carselowey) Foursquare Church. Interment will be at the Carselowey Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband and daughter. Reverend John Bechtold will be officiating the funeral services along with four of Cecil and Allie Mae's grandsons who are ordained ministers. The services are under the directions of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK. A visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Her humor and wittiness has been enjoyed for many years by her family and friends. She leaves a multi-generation Christian family behind as her legacy.
