Alma Udena "Dean" Bennington, 92 year-old Vinita resident, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born June 16, 1919 to George William and Cynthia Bell (Hull) Ramsey. Dean worked as head dietician in the kitchen at Eastern State Hospital for over 35 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Dean was an avid bingo player, loved to collect red birds, and enjoyed her family very much. The family includes: two daughters, Carol Marquis and husband Don of Vinita, Nancy Heiney of Vinita; six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were; her parents, four brothers, Earl, John, Buck and Fred Ramsey; one sister Mary Allensworth. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The graveside service will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Timpson Chapel Cemetery northwest of Vinita, with Pastor George Vaughn officiating.
