Almeda Lora Feltenberger was born on August 27, 1909 in Washington County to Harter and Gertrude Liston. She died on Friday, August 2, 2013. She married Adrian P. Feltenberger on May 4, 1930 in Nowata. They were married for almost 47 years, until Adrian died in February 1977. Adrian and Almeda were blessed with four children; Ladena, Jerry, Shirley, and Dale. Her first home was in Washington County, about 100 yards from Hogshooter Creek. Their first child, Ladena, was born while living there. She and Adrian lived at Coody's Bluff before moving to Nowata on Willow Street in 1943. They lived there until moving into the home on Davis Drive in 1950 where she lived until she died. Almeda, as she was known, was a devoted Christian and was a member of the First Church of God in Nowata for many years. She was a homemaker whose family was always her priority and caring for them gave her many of her most treasured moments of life. She was an accomplished seamstress and greatly enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening. She lived her entire life in the Nowata area. Almeda is survived by her daughters, Ladena Baker and Husband Cyrus of Las Cruces, New Mexico; By Shirley Wood of Denton, Texas; Her son, Dale Feltenberger of Nowata; One sister, Elois Adair of Tulsa; By 8 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and 11 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harter and Gertrude Liston; Her husband Adrian; One son Jerry (Bud); One grandson Chase Baker; Her two brothers, John and Charles Liston; Three sisters Opal Wolf, Belvia Phillips, and Iva Pierce.
