Almeda Jean Stewart, 86 year old Langley resident, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Almeda was born in Dawson, Oklahoma on October 20, 1926 to George and Byrl Simms. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and going to yard sales. She was a member of the Disney Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her children: Phyllis Pryor of Langley, Debra Turner of Langley, Michael St. John of Jinks, Carol Free of Langley, Linda Dundee of Tulsa, Gloria Auflegger of Vinita, Jim Stewart of Leesburg, Virginia, and Mark Stewart of Olathe, KS, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren and brother George Simms. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Byrl Simms, husband James Riley Stewart, son Johnnie Potter, and two sisters: Billie Jones and Reba Martin. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Disney Assembly of God Church with Pastor Daryl Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
