Alvin F. Heltzel, 76, of Wyandotte, OK passed away Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 in Seneca, Mo. Born on Jan. 28, 1930 in Vinita to William Francis and Mamie Fern (Finnell) Heltzel. Mr. Heltzel was a lifelong area resident, was of the Protestant faith, Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Korea. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He retired from B.F. Goodrich as a tire builder in 1986. His first wife- Dorothy preceded him in death in 1973. Also preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters; Gordon Raymond, Emma Jean, Lantie Elias and Wayne Lee, one great granddaughter-Rose Smith. He and Ellen Monroe were married in Oct. of 1980. Survivors include; Wife-Ellen, Children; Frances and Bruce Heflin of Whiteface, TX. Dale and Drucilla Heltzel of Vinita Larry and Sharla Heltzel of Miami, OK Mike and Dee Monroe of Tulsa Brothers and Sisters; Eva Bethel of South Carolina Annie and Harvey Jones of Chelsea Charlotte Mobley of Vinita Joe Wendell Heltzel of Vinita John and Jackie Heltzel of Chelsea 8 grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 pm, Sunday at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2007 at Luginbuel Funeral Home With Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery of Vinita. Casket Bearers will be; Dwight Heltzel, Justin Heflin, Clint Siegrist, Chuck Woodall, Jack Millikan and Bruce Heflin. Honorary Bearers will be; Lee Jeffrey, John Heltzel, Mike Monroe and Joe Heltzel. Contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
