Ana Worley

Ana Maria (Annie) Gonzalez was born December 20, 1918 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, daughter of Aurora Villamil and Pedro Gonzalez Iglesias. They preceded her in death. Ana was a Civil Service employee in the Medical Dept. of the U.S. Naval Station in San Juan, P.R., where she met Harry Edward Worley Jr. They were married at the U.S. Naval Chapel in San Juan, on December 14th, 1945. They lived in P.R. for 3 months and came to Grove in March 1946, making their home here since. She joined the First United Methodist Church in Grove in 1954. She was a charter member of the Zeta Alpha, ESA (Epsilon Sigma Alpha International Sorority); The Grove Moose Lodge and the Women of the Moose. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars; American Legion Auxiliaries and the AARP; all of Grove. She was a bookkeeper and receptionist at the family business until retirement. Harry E. Worley Jr. preceded her in death a day after their 51st wedding anniversary. They were preceded in death by a son Edward R. Worley. Survivors include: 2 sons: Harry Wallace Worley of the Grove, Gary L. Worley and wife Robin, of Owasso, Ok. 1 daughter: Elizabeth Ann and husband Quentin McGhee, Walnut Shade, MO. 1 daughter-in-law: Vicki and husband Stephen Vinson, Tupelo, MS 2 grandsons: Aaron Worley, OKC, OK Sean Worley, Jay, OK 5 granddaughters: Cheryti and Shawn Hames, Dallas TX Heather and William Torrance, Bogata, Colombia Faith McGhee, Walnut Shade, MO Hope and Mykle Scott, Euless, TX Lauren and Scott Reeves, Owasso, OK 11 Great-grandchildren 4 Great-great-grandchildren 2 special nieces: Liz O Mireles and Magda Pla. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Saturday October 22, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Services are at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home chapel in Grove at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 with Rev. Stephen Vinson officiating and Rev. Randy Hamil. Casket bearers will be family and friends. Interment at Olympus Cemetery, Grove, with Rev. Quentin R. McGhee officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
