Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Ancil O Simmons, 86 year old Grove resident, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, 2018. Ancil was born in Centralia, OK on October 31, 1931 to Elmo and Mable (Heltzel) Simmons. Ancil graduated from Stockton High School in Stockton, MO in 1950. He served in the United States Air Force. He attended Holmes Theological Seminary in Greenville, SC. On December 16, 1988, he was united in marriage to Venita Hawpe. Ancil pastored churches since 1969. He was an ordained minister of both Church of God and Freewill Baptist. After retirement, he accepted pastoring for Turkey Ford Assembly of God and Council House Friends Church. He loved camping and fishing. Survivors include his wife Venita of the home, daughters: Diane Wilkie of Grove, Cathy Oliver of Bethany, OK, and Mary Coffey of Covington, VA, one brother Gary Simmons of Stephen Port, KY, two sisters: Clarene Simmons of Tulsa and Wynona Holiday of Georgia, 3 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Beulah Simmons, his son Kenneth Simmons, brothers: Dwain Simmons, Norbert Simmons, and Lloyd Simmons, sister Paula Waters, and grandsons: Jonas Coffey and Jason Hardin. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Mark Lavine officiating. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
