Graveside services for Andy "Bud" Lowrey are at 10:00 a.m., October 19, 2012 at MT. Washington Cemetery with Brother Ray Witty and Pastor Steven Posey officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Bud Lowrey passed away October 14, 2012 at his home in Lenapah. He was born on July 7, 1919 in Delaware to Richard Walker and Demi (Dawson) Lowrey. During World War II Bud served in the United States Third Army and worked under General Patton's command. He was in the 32nd Medical Evacuation Unit as a medic. Bud served at the Battle of the Bulge, and Utah Beach in Normandy. On May 22, 1942 he married the love of his life Kathrine Ruth Palone in Vinita, Oklahoma. He worked many years as a machinist at Par Mac manufacturing in Coffeyville. He is a past member of the Lions Club and was a very strong supporter of the Oklahoma Union Schools. Bud attended all of the Oklahoma Union games and especially loved the basketball games. He enjoyed attending auctions and sales, and working outdoors. Bud loved horses and could often be seen working with his horses in Lenapah. Bud was very much a family man and was so proud of his grandsons, Mike and Doug, who both are police officers. Bud is survived by a son, Buddy Lowrey and wife Tracey of Centralia, Washington; two grandsons, Michael Lowrey and wife Whitney, Douglas Lowrey and wife Emily, an ex daughter in law, Melissa; and six great grandchildren, Nicholas Lowrey, Alyson Lowrey, Abigail Lowrey, Samantha Lowrey, Colson Lowrey, Jaxsyn Lowrey. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Demi Lowrey, his wife, Kathrine Ruth Lowrey; two siblings, Jo Scott and Billy "Bid" Lowrey.
