On December 8, 2010, Ann (Annell) Casper embarked on the greatest adventure of her life; she entered heaven. Ann peacefully passed away at the Nowata Care Center where she was surrounded by friends and family. She was 79 years old. Ann Casper was born in Nowata, January 18, 1931. She attended Nowata and Delaware schools and finished her education through the American School Systems, earning her GED as a young adult. Later in life she continued her education, received teacher certification training and was an elementary teacher for New Life Christian School in Nowata. For many years, Ann worked as a Home Health Care Provider for the state, and she was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Ann was involved in independent sales for over 45 years, being a representative and sales manager for Stanley Home Products, Watkins, Raleigh, and Avon. Her customers were never prospects; they were people. She enjoyed visiting more than selling. That was her trademark- Ann Casper loved people, and she loved Jesus Christ. Ann was an active member of the Assemblies of God denomination, having attended the First Assembly of God (New Life Assembly) for over 50 years. She was a proud member of the Women's Ministries (WMs) group, where she held various leadership roles over the years. Always up for a good adventure, Ann loved to travel, visiting friends and family. She could make a vacation out of anything. She loved the outdoors and was willing to go fishing, hiking, picnicking, or animal watching. Her love for "seeing the sights," especially a road trip, brought her great joy. She loved to drive a car. Country food was her favorite food, though breadsticks and marinara were close behind. A good piece of coconut cream pie was always in order, and she loved a good cup of coffee in the morning. "Let's dunk something sweet in it," she'd say-carmel long johns worked for her. She loved to be with her family and friends more than anything in the world. She was your biggest fan, encouraging you in whatever endeavor it may be. Ann loved life but loved where she was headed more. Her passion and life calling was to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. She'd tell of His saving grace and healing abilities. A cancer survivor, she knew the power of a healing Lord. All who knew her knew she was a Christian. Ann was preceded in death byer her father and mother, Robert White Zinn and Bessie (Pace) Zinn; sister Susie Walker; brother, Clifford Zinn; stepson, Eddie Pace; three beloved husbands, Roy Hall, Edmond Pace and Jake Casper. She was also preceded in death by dear friends, George Glass, Irene Coonfield, and many ladies from the WM's group who she considered family. Ann is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Roy Lee and Linda Hall of Tahlequah, Jake and Ann Hall of Copan; four daughters and spouses, Jeannie and Charles Moore of Nowata, Cloey Hall of Vinita, Frankie (Lewis) Maggard of Nowata, and Nancy (Pace) and Mike Miller of Springfield, MO. She leaves a granddaughter that she raised, Anna Marie Lewis, and Anna's three children, Justin, Jackson, and Siera. Ann was blessed with 14 grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren. She leaves numerous friends and extended family who will miss her greatly. She also leaves her beloved pets, Sergeant, a Yorkie, Big Boy, a Border Collie, and two cats, Thomas and Meow.
