Anna Lee Brewster, 96 year old, Jay resident passed away on April 11, 2013 in Grove, Oklahoma. Anna Lee was born on January 31, 1917, to Hugh Smith Wilson and Nellie Opal (Wyatt) Wilson in Grove, Oklahoma. She attended school in Zena, Oklahoma until the eighth grade, and graduated from Grove High School. Anna Lee married Clark Brewster on September 22, 1934 in Jay, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2001. Anna Lee was a longtime member of the Southside Church of Christ in Jay, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Jay Garden Club, Jay Home Demonstration Club, and Delaware County Historical Society. She ran Brewster's Laundry in Jay, Oklahoma for 40 years. She was a Pink Lady at the Jay Hospital and always donated blood for the American Red Cross. Anna loved working with flowers and had extensive flower beds. She enjoyed traveling and camping. Every year, Anna Lee always went to the FHA State Convention with her daughters as a chaperon. Even though Anna Lee owned and operated the Laundromat and was very involved in the community her primary job was being a mother to her girls. Anna Lee is preceded in death by her husband, Clark Brewster; her parents, Hugh and Opal Wilson; and two brothers, George and J.C. Wilson. She is survived by four daughters, Patti Jo Elliott of Fort Scott, Kansas, Peggy Ann Liebhart of Union, Missouri, Polly Sue Brown and husband Roy of Wichita, Kansas, and Brenda Opal Forrest and husband George of Pryor, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Southside Church of Christ in Jay, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Duffield Cemetery in Jay, Oklahoma. Brother Steve Stenzel will officiate.
