Anna Kinsey

November 8, 1913 — January 10, 2007

Anna Marie Kinsey, 93, a resident of Vinita passed away at Craig General Hospital on Wednesday, January 10, 2007. Marie was born to John Tucker Jr. and Talitha (Coffey) Tucker, November 8, 1913 in Osage County Oklahoma in the Missions Creek area west of Copan, OK where they lived until she was six years old. The family moved to Eldon, MO for two years returning to Dewey, OK in 1922, later moving to the Copan area where she received most of her education. Mrs. Kinsey was a member of the Copan Baptist Church. She and William E. Kinsey were married in New Mexico on December 14, 1941 where Mr. Kinsey worked for Phillips Petroleum Company during the war for two years. They returned to Dewey, OK in fall of 1943 and their son was born in September of 1944. Mr. Kinsey worked for Reda Pump Company in Bartlesville, OK until his retirement in 1967. In 1975, they moved to Grand Lake where they lived until Mr. Kinsey passed away on December 30, 1985. Mrs. Kinsey worked in the P.T.A. and Cub Scouts while her son was in school, also was an Eastern Star Member until moving to the lake area. Also a member of the Post Oak Extension Club for over twenty years. After her husbands death she moved to Vinita, OK and attended the Trinity Baptist Church. Preceding Mrs. Kinsey in death were her husband, parents five sisters and one brother. Survivors include her son William R. Kinsey (Bill), his wife Pat Kinsey, one granddaughter Leslie Perkins and husband George Perkins, one grandson Jacob Kinsey of Vinita, OK and two great-grandsons. One Stepdaughter Bessie Forrest of Copan, OK and two Step-grandchildren Dennis E. Forrest and Donna K. Chaney. Two special nieces Mrs. Rowena Smith of Collinsville, OK and Mrs. Bonita Delozier of Baytown, TX, a number of other nieces and nephews. Also a special cousin Bea Wood of Monett, MO. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK. Services are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK.
