Luginbuel Funeral Home,Vinita, (918) 256 - 5555 - Anna Jean (Jones) Webb, 88 year old resident of Vinita since 1957, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Heartsworth Senior Living Center in Vinita. Ann was born to her parents James W. "Bill" and Mable Inez (Shinn) Jones on January 22, 1927 in Russellville, Arkansas. They moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1928 to a farm in the Elm Grove community. Ann married John R. Webb on April 26, 1947 and they lived in Muskogee for ten years where they operated a dairy farm. Ann and John moved to Vinita in 1957 where they owned and operated Webb Dairy until they retired in 1978. Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bluejacket where she was a song leader, Sunday school teacher, and sang at many funerals in Bluejacket and Vinita. In 1966 she moved her membership to the First Baptist Church in Vinita and taught Sunday school in the Jr. High Department for sixteen years and Adult Four for twenty years. Ann also served in many committees and was a member of the Adult Choir for sixteen years and was a charter member of the Sr. Choir the "Silvertones" since its beginning. She also was responsible for the upkeep with the flowers in front of the First Baptist Church in Vinita for fifteen years. Ann enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, spending time with her family, and she will be truly missed. Preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ted Webb; and one brother, James Jones; Ann is survived by her husband of 68 years, John Webb of the home; her son, Jody Webb and his wife Kari of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Webb of Tulsa; one sister, Becky Weaver and her husband Bill of Sand Springs; five grandchildren, Lindsay Farr and her husband Taylor of Bixby; Lauren Falzone and her husband Vinny also of Bixby; Sarah Adcock and her husband Levy of Stillwater; Madysn Webb and Mason Plank both of Sallisaw; three great grandchildren, Bailey, Merrick, and Evan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. The family of Ann Webb will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Vinita with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. In lieu of flowers memorials in honor of Ann Webb may be made to the First Baptist Church in Vinita. Arrangements are with Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, Oklahoma.
