Annetta Sue Dye 60 of Nowata passed away at 5:04 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in the Saint John Medical Center in Tulsa. Annetta was born on July 5, 1948 in Nowata to Earl and Leota (Willis) Sisson. She was raised in Nowata and attended Lenapah Public Schools. Annetta attended Bartlesville Beauty College and found her passion for cutting and styling hair for many years. She married Brian A Dye Sr. in Miami, Oklahoma in 1965. Annetta moved to Oregon and then to Washington where she spent several years. She decided to make Nowata her home and in 1974 she returned to Nowata. Annetta was a member of the Talala Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and painting but nothing brought her more joy than her thirteen grandchildren. Annetta is survived by her loving and devoted husband Brian A. Dye of Nowata, one son Brian A. Dye Jr. of Nowata, three daughters Brenda A. Owens and her husband Dennis of Nowata, Betina A. Tate and her husband William "Bill" of Nowata, and Barbara Dye of Nowata, Twelve grandchildren Rachael Black, Renee Black, Jake Black, William Tate, Amber Tate, Natasha Dye, Naomi Dye, Brian A. Dye III, Austen Dye, Megan Dye, Marque Harmon, and Makayla Harmon, two brothers LeeRoy Sisson of St. Lois, Missouri, and Joe Raymond and his wife Debbie of Shelton, Washington, two sisters Earline Mitchell and her husband Pete of Talala, and Donna Straggi and her husband Robert "Bob" of Talala, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Leota Sisson, one granddaughter Sarin Dye and one sister Mary Harney. Funeral services for Annetta are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Walker officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Mrs. Dye in the Ball Cemetery. Visitation for Annetta will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2009, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
