Annette Willis

Annette Overmyer Willis, age 73, of Cleora, OK entered heaven on April 29, 2010. She passed away from sudden, acute pancreatitis in Tyler, TX. Annette was born December 30, 1936 in Tulsa, OK. She graduated Tulsa Central High School in 1954. She attended the University of Colorado where she pledged Chi Omega then transferred to Oklahoma A&M. She and husband Tony resided in Houston, TX for thirty years before retiring to Grand Lake, Oklahoma. Annette was preceded in death by her parents George and Brenda Overmyer; mother-in-law Katherine Pyeatt and sister-in-law Marilyn Overmyer. She is survived by husband James (Tony) Willis of Cleora, OK; son Ronald Willis and wife Barbara of Tulsa, OK; daughter Jeanine O'Neill and husband Jim of Melbourne, FL; son Steven Willis of Tulsa, OK; brother Keith Overmyer of Cleora, OK; sister Jean Essley and husband Phil of Tulsa, OK; brother Jon Overmyer and wife Marty of Dallas, TX; twin sister Janette Layne of Cleora, OK; grandchildren Jimmy and Jaina O'Neill of Melbourne, FL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she adored. Annette loved birds, flowers, sunsets on the lake, neighbors, classmates and her church and all its members. She loved sewing and craft painting. She loved walking her dog, Ginger, and visiting with neighbors. The church nursery and children's Sunday School was a focal point of each week. She was a dedicated volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She had a servant's heart and will have many jewels in her crown. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ketchum United Methodist Church with Rev. Dianna Bradford officiating with interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery at Tulsa at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Tuesday May 4, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley.
