Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 918-253-3222 --- Anthony Ray Morgan, born to Melvin Leon Morgan and Shirley Jean Tanner Morgan, on August 3, 1964 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He met his Lord and Savior on October 13, 2014. Anthony is survived by his family, Jacob Anthony Morgan, Taylor Lee Morgan, Kaden Ray Morgan and Leah Jo Morgan. His brother Kenny Morgan and wife Pricila of Jay, Oklahoma, his Sister Pam Teague of Jay, Oklahoma, his Sister Irene Snow and husband Wes of Arkansas City, Kansas, his brother Barry Moulton and wife Mary of Jay Oklahoma, his sister Cynthia Threlkeld and husband Charles of Jay Oklahoma. 20 Nieces and Nephews, 28 Great Nieces and Nephews, and Uncle Anthony loved every one of them! Anthony owned Morgan Construction for 32 years. He was a stone mason, cabinet builder, carpenter, and concrete mason; he could build just about anything. Anthony had a true volunteer's spirit. Anthony volunteered in building the baseball park, the gazebo on the square, the Walk of Honor, and the elementary school playground. He was a member of the Jay Summer Sports Association and the Delaware County Historical Society. He loved coaching his boys and their friends in Baseball and Football, and impacted many kids' lives along the way. Coaching was his passion, and others recognized that about him. He was his happiest when he was coaching a group of 5-year-old T Ball players. It was important to him that the National Anthem is played before every TBall game. He loved Friday night football and was honored to hold the down marker on the chain gang. He always said he had the best seat in the house. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a musician and a singer. He loved playing music; it was his favorite of all. Music was Anthony's way of connecting to God. Funeral services for Anthony will be held at 2:00 pm. on Friday, October 17, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Jay, Oklahoma. Leon Hurt and Lennie Martin will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday October 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Jay, Oklahoma.
