Argie Pogue

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK....918-253-3222....Argie Marie Pogue, passed away at her home in Inola, OK on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 82. Argie was born on January 11, 1932 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of the late Frank Williams and Verlie Elizabeth (Butler) Williams. Argie lived in Springfield, MO until moving to Southwest City, MO in the early 1960's. Argie married Ray Thomas Pogue in 1956 in Ozark, MO. She was a Nurse's Aide in Gravette, AR. In her later years she was a homemaker. Argie enjoyed fishing, crocheting, quilting, collecting dolls and antique dishes but most of all loved to be with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray Pogue; son Lonnie Jones; grandson James Lee Pogue; brothers: Gene Williams, Alvie Williams, and Less Williams; sisters: Dean Deboard and Artie Smith; and one son-in-law Calvin Dilbeck. She is survived by her three sons: Amos Lee Pogue and his wife Shannon of Inola, OK, Rick James Pogue and his wife Melissa of Noel, MO, and Roy Lee Pogue of Inola, MO; two daughters: Cindy Dilbeck of Jay, OK; and Benda Cantrell of Zena, OK; one brother Burl Williams of Arizona; one sister Barbara Kirby of Monett, MO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Jay, OK on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2PM with Mr. Doug Rainbolt, presiding. Visitation will be from 12PM to 5PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.
