Arlene Loree "Sissy" Decou 80 year-old Vinita resident, died Monday evening July 20, 2009 at Rosewood Terrace. She was born May 25, 1929 in Centralia to Roy and Mildred (Calvert) Lay. Loree was a graduate of White Oak High School and retired from the American Airlines maintenance department. She had moved back to Vinita from Vian about three years ago. Loree was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Vian. She was a hard worker, loved being with her family and friends, her church and her flowers. The family includes: her children, Larry Cooper of Vinita, Roger Cooper of Tulsa, Mildred Diane Giddeon of Golden, Colorado; grandchildren, Brock, Chad and Larry Cooper of Tulsa, Mark Cooper of Mansfield, Texas, Jessica Cooper of Tulsa, Kim Mecham of Adair; great-grandchildren, Luke, Gracie, Katy, Austin, Jada, Niki, and Alex Cooper and Nathan Mecham. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gene Lay. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday July 23, 2009 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m. July 24, 2009 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, with Pastor Steven Spyres officiating.
