Arnold Brewer age 94 long time Vinita resident passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007. Arnold was born to Mary and Ballard Brewer in Middleton, Ohio on November 24, 1912. He married Mildred Crowder on June 20, 1936. He was a member of the Quarterback Club, Odd Fellows Lodge, Vinita Senior Citizens, and First Baptist Church. He was an avid football and baseball fan. His favorite teams were Vinita, University of Oklahoma, Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed fishing and reading. He retired from Bartgis Chevrolet. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and brother. Arnold is survived by: his daughter Jo Ann Burger, Tulsa, Oklahoma; his grandson Jimmy Burger and wife Kathy, New Bedford, Massachusetts; his granddaughter Jennifer Abbey and husband Michael, Tulsa, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren, Jimmy Burger, II, Petie Burger and Jessica Abbey; his brothers, Bill Brewer and wife Alene, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Byford Brewer and wife Shirley, Wagoner, Oklahoma; his sister, Delores Laughlin of Ohio. Arnold was preceded in death by: his parents Mary and Ballard Brewer; his wife Mildred Brewer, daughter Mary Ruth Brewer; his brothers, Bud Brewer, Courtney Brewer, Ray Brewer, his sisters Nellie Fugate and Nancy Jones. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Luginbuel Funeral Home, 332 N. Scraper, Vinita. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, 321 West Illinois Avenue, Vinita with Dr. Henry Haynes officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita.
