Arthur Donaldson

Arthur Alfred Donaldson, 94 year old, Grove resident passed away Saturday, July 22, 2013. Arthur was born on March 7, 1919 in Bethel, New York to William Robert and Pearl (Smith) Donaldson. Arthur worked on the family farm for many years. Arthur married Virginia (Donahue) in 1951. Arthur worked as a supervisor and groundskeeper for the Concord Hotel at Kiamesha Lake in New York. He loved horses and worked part-time as a blacksmith, he even assisted with horses at the racetrack. Arthur is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, a daughter Gail Lemoine, a sister Leah Mosher, and a brother, William Donaldson. Arthur is survived by three children, Arthur Donaldson and wife Joann of Lawrenceburg Tennessee, Dotti Taylor and husband Jeff of Afton, Oklahoma, and Gary Donaldson of Coweta, Oklahoma. Arthur is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. A private family gathering for Arthur will be held at a later date.
