Barbara Ann Faulkner Kiser, 58 of Stuarts Draft, VA formerly of Vinita, OK passed away at her home surrounded by her family, Tuesday January 3, 2011. She was born July 9, 1953 in Lincoln Arkansas the daughter of Ola Faye and Vol Faulkner. The family moved to Vinita in 1957 where she was raised and educated. She married and moved to Stuarts Draft after graduating from NEO. She graduated from Virginia Tech and taught elementary school for several years. The family owned and operated Big O tree service. Barbara was an active member of Waynesboro Mennonite Church and was known for her strong faith and kindness. She loved antiques, yard sales, and baseball games. Survivors include one son Orvin "Trip" Kiser 3rd. of Stuarts Draft, 2 daughters: Amanda Kiser of Virginia Beach, Karman Tinsley and husband Derek and grandson Nolan "Nolie Bear" of Norfolk, VA, her step mother Jo Lee Faulkner of Vinita, two sisters Christy Kenworthy of Welch, OK and Jeanette Templeton of Little Rock, AR brothers include Floyd and Sherry Faulkner of Vinita, Joe and Marsha Faulkner of Nowata, OK, Mark and Janie Letbetter of Owasso, OK Donnie and Yuvonne Letbetter of Denver, CO. Family night will be Friday, January 6th from 6 until 8 P. M., at the Waynesboro Mennonite Church, 1801 Monroe Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980. The memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday, January 7th at 11:00 A. M., conducted by the Rev. Howard Miller. A friendship meal will follow the service.
