Barbara Ann Lafler Obituary Big Cabin, OK - Barbara Ann Lafler, 60, died Saturday evening, July 28, 2007 at her home near Big Cabin. Barbara was born October 23, 1946 at Penn Yan, New York to William Roum and Lucy (Smith) Roum. She grew up in upstate New York, graduated high school and lived there for much of her life. She married Kenneth Lafler on August 12, 1988 at Reno, Nevada. The couple moved to Vinita, Oklahoma in 1988 and moved to the current residence in 1991. Barbara was a truck driver for many years. She later worked at the Big Cabin Truckstop until two years ago, when she went to work for Vinita's Wal-Mart in the deli section. Barbara was of the Methodist faith. She loved to read, especially Nora Roberts novels. Barbara was a faithful follower of the Grand Ole Opry. She enjoyed fishing; her dog, Peaches and her cat, Spitball. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of the home; her children, Paula and Tony Rugg of New York, Reggie and Kim Rugg of the home, Tillman James Rugg and his wife, Jen of Chicago, Illinois, Loretta Corey and her husband, Jack, Roger Dale Rugg and his wife, Jenifer and Gidget Rugg, all of New York, Patsy Hulbert and her husband, Brett of Penn Yan, New York, Kenneth Lafler, Jr. and his wife, Wendy of Dundee, New York, Shawn Lafler of Penn Yan, Cassandra Lafler of Lowens, South Carolina, Sherrie Lee Lafler and her husband, Sammy of South Carolina and William Lafler of Lowens, South Carolina; two sisters, Carol Lafler of Bathlo, Florida and Gladys Morse of Harrison, Arkansas; two brothers, David Roum of Louisiana and Steve Roum of Florida; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
