Beatrice A. Johnston, a longtime resident of Grove passed away at Integris Grove General Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 89. Beatrice who was known to family and friends as Button was born on March 7, 1920 in Jay, Oklahoma to Jeff and Cleo (Sanders) Dick. Button graduated from Jay High School and NEO A&M College. She worked as a legal Secretary for Ronnie Q. Hunt until retirement and then owned Tommy's Drive In in Grove for many years. Beatrice was very active in the Moose Lodge in Grove and the World Wide Church of God and was the first lady pilot in Grove getting her pilots license in 1957. Her parents, her husbands Eardie Robertson and Charlie Johnston four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Survivors include her son Tommy Robertson and his wife Catherine of Jay, two sisters Carole Sue Edwards of Tulsa and Naomi Sebastian of Jay along with five grandchildren Terri Moellers of Naples, Florida, Brett Robertson of the Philippines, Amy Yates of Burns Flatt, Oklahoma, Brandi Peden of Jay, Cristi Robertson of Fairland and also fourteen Great Grandchildren. Two sister-in-laws Ann Dick and Betty Dick both of Grove along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Joseph Rivers officiating.
