Benjamin Renee "Benji" Macias, 61, a long-time resident of Dewey, Oklahoma died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Bartlesville Care Center where he had been a resident for the past few years. Benji was born September 28, 1949 in Bartlesville, OK to Manuel Frank and Julia Maria (Rocha) Macias and spent his lifetime in the Dewey and Bartlesville area. He had a love and admiration for his family, as could be seen by his safeguarding and displaying of precious family photographs. Benji was also an avid sports fan, having a fondness especially for the OU Sooners and Chicago Bears football teams. He also enjoyed music and dancing along with watching his favorite TV programs, like the Three Stooges, and joking with his friends and family. Benji is survived by: one brother, Manuel Macias and wife Sharon; two sisters, Martha Lemos and husband Peter and Rebecca Lemos and husband Fred; nephews: Robert Macias, Joe Lemos and Bob Lemos; nieces: Jodi Payonk, Monica Espinoza, Lisa Kusiak and Lisa Macias; cousins: Ronnie Masias, Gene Masias and Olga Banuelos and husband Tolin and their children: Minerva and Armando. He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Sergio "Leo" Macias and one sister, Yolanda Macias.
