Benjamin "Frank" Reynolds, age 90, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Medicalodge in Dewey. He was born August 3, 1916 in Dewey, OK the son of John Melton Reynolds and Minnie Irelan Reynolds and was a lifetime resident of the Dewey - Copan area where he was reared and educated. He and Ruth Mae Watt were united in marriage May 28, 1938 in Carthage, Missouri. During WW11 they moved to California where he worked at the Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond. In 1947 they returned to Copan where he became the owner operator of Reynolds' Service Station and Garage until his retirement in the eighties. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the First Christian Church in Dewey and enjoyed playing domino's and cards, fishing and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Reynolds of Dewey, one son and daughter in law, Jim and Sue Reynolds of Bartlesville, a daughter and son in law, Sallie and Bob Powell of Dewey, eight grandchildren, Jeremy Powell, Sharon Powell, Travis Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, Rebecca Whittington, Katrica Driscoll, Tom Moreland and Wes Moreland, nine great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and one sister, Mildred Shaffer of Modesto, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Irene Reynolds Moreland, two brothers and two sisters. Memorials have been established in Mr. Reynolds name with the Cookson Hills Children's Home, those who would like to make a donation may do so, in care of the First Christian Church, 900 N. Wyandotte Dewey, OK 74029. Funeral services will be Friday January 19, 2007 at the Dewey First Christian Church at 10:00 a.m. with. Leon Martin and Don Elliott officiating with interment to follow in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of the Neekamp -Luginbuel Funeral Home.
