Bennie King

Bennie Roy King, lifetime Jay area resident, died Sunday June 22, 2014 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 48 years. He was born In Gravette, Arkansas on March 12, 1966 to his parents, Joseph Joe King and Daisy Wanda (Thompson) King. Bennie was a truck driver and thoroughly enjoyed being on the open road, traveling places. He enjoyed working on hotrods, trucks, pretty much anything that had an engine. He also loved tinkering with things and working with his hands. Bennie was a member of Oak Chapel Church. He is preceded in death by his parents. Bennie is survived by his family, sons, Joseph Joe King and wife LaWanda, and Bennie Joe King; brothers, Wes King and wife Sue, and Frank King; sisters, Deanna Long and husband Chuck, and Rosemary Spence and husband Stanley; grandchildren, Destiny, Jasmine, Daisy, Hemi, and Lily; as well as many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
