Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Bernarr "Bunny" Tyler Ross, 76 year old resident of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on March 5, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bunny was born on February 5, 1941 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was the son of Joseph Tyler and Suzy (Bark) Ross. After graduating high school, Bernarr proudly served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Mary Summerfield in Miami, Oklahoma on May 23, 1986. Bernarr worked for Cherokee Nation in the Sanitation Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock carving, making home made bows, and everything and anything outdoors. Bernarr would joke that he was a "Jack of all trades and master of none". But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Bernarr was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Ross, and Uncle Jim Chumwalooky. He leaves behind to miss him dearly his three children; Leena Summerfield of Jay, OK, Joey Ross of Kenwood, OK and Maggie Ross of Kenwood, one granddaughter Shayann Ross, Aunt Ellamae Chumwalooky two brothers and four sisters; Alice Ward of Eucha, Elizabeth Wolf of Kenwood, Josephine Panther of Grove and Peggy Panther of Kenwood. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7PM, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Services are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Tyio Baptist Church in Kenwood, Oklahoma. Bernarr will be laid to rest beside his father in Euwasha Cemetery.
