Bernice Miller

Bernice J. (Gilbert) Miller, 86 year old former Vinita resident, died Wednesday December 18, 2013 in Edmond. She was born on September 24, 1927 in Blackwell to Frank and Ruby (Jayne) Gilbert. Bernice was married to Roy M. Miller on May 13, 1945 at the Vinita Church of God, Roy a former Church of Christ minster, preceded her in death on November 3, 2006. The family includes: her children, Jim Miller and wife Connie of Cypress, Texas Ron Miller and wife Lee of Ada, Lynnetta Giroux and husband Charlie of Edmond, siblings, Bob Gilbert and Margaret Williams both of Vinita; five granchildren, three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers, Bill and Ray Gilbert. Friends may come by the funeral home during visiting hours Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd to pay their respects. A Private funeral service will be held Monday at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
