Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma, 918-253-3222. Bertha M. Teague, 76 year old, lifetime resident of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on February 6, 2018 at Integris Grove Hospital. Bertha was born on May 5, 1941 in Eucha, Oklahoma. She was the last living child of Rabbit and Bessie (Tanner) Boney. Bertha was a licensed abstractor and worked every day beside her husband and son in the family business, Delaware County Abstract Company. Bertha was a very talented basket maker, she was very accomplished at baking the most beautiful wedding cakes for her family and friends, and she also made the best hot rolls and fry bread. Bertha loved to go fishing, and spoke fluent Cherokee. Bertha was a member of the Jay Bible Church. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Teague, her parents, Rabbit and Bessie Boney, her two brothers; Willis and Paul and her sister Mary. She will be dearly missed by her son Rabbit Teague and his wife Kelley, five grandchildren; April, Amber, James and Kortney, Allie, five great grandchildren; Leigha, Cooper, Owen, Blake and Cain. Bertha will also be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, many wonderful friends whom she loved dearly, and her fur-baby, her beloved pit-bull W.D. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Jay Assembly of God with Brother Chester Crittenden officiating. Bertha will be laid to rest in Olympus cemetery in Grove. Honoring Bertha's life serving as casket bearers will be Jeff Hutchison, Leroy Flaming, Jim Earp, Billy Fox, Robin Kirby, Joe Hutchison, John Lee Tanner and Sonny Fox, Honorary casket bearer Robert Hutchison.
