Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555..... Bessie Mae Kinion, 101 year, 3 month, 11 day old Adair resident, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Bessie was born in Adair on May 5, 1916 to Theodore and Freda (Schickadanz) Hamill. On February 8, 1934 she was united in marriage to Clarence Kinion. Bessie remembers getting electric for the first time and used to say the greatest part was getting to use an electric iron. She was also proud of the fact that she was a member of Adair United Methodist Church from her mother's womb until death. Bessie enjoyed quilting, gardening, and was very active with the Adair Senior Citizens. Survivors include her granddaughters: Ginger Wilson and husband Darryl and Patty Hugley and husband Darren, great grandchildren: Justin Wilson, Dustin Wilson, Terrin (Hugley) Weyen, Tanner Hugley, Tyler Kinion, and Kane Kinion, several great-great grandchildren, her best friend of over 75 years, Bonnie Deffenbaugh of Adair, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, son James Kinion, and siblings: Emma (Hamill) Gay, Bob Hamill, Joe Hamill, Myrtle (Hamill) Hunter, Russell Hamill, and Jerome Hamill. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Vinita. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Adair United Methodist Church with Pastor Dylan Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Adair Cemetery.
