Betty Barksdale

Betty Barksdale age 89 died Wednesday November 25, 2009 at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, OK. She was born on January 20, 1920 in Morris, Ok. Betty married John Barksdale on August 1 1942 in Denver and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2005. She attended the First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study Leader. She loved being on the lake and fishing. They RVed to Arizona for the winters. Surviving two sons Steve Barksdale in Colleyville, TX and Court Barksdale in Tulsa, OK Two daughters Frieda Reed in Grove, and Christi Fagerstone in Muenster, TX Grandchildren Seth Barksdale, Amanda Barksdale, Heather Barksdale, Laura Fagerstone, Levi Dean, Dilan Dean, Stephanie Bennett, Bobby Bennett and Jennifer Mallory Greatgrandson Cole Mallory Preceding death were a grandson Michael Fagerstone, a sister Pat Roy, her husband and parents The funeral will be held at the graveside in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK at 2 pm on Tuesday December 1, 23009 with Pastor Russ Barksdale officiating.
