Betty Mae Beisley seventy five year old lifetime resident of the Vinita area died Tuesday November 15, 2011 at Osborn Care Center in Miami, OK. She was born December 5, 1937 in Bluejacket the daughter of William R. Kerr and Nona Irene (Kelly) Kerr. She was raised and educated at Bluejacket where she graduated from Bluejacket high school. She loved trees and singing Hank Williams songs, singing karaoke and Tennessee Ernie Ford. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the senior center visiting with people and being with her family and friends. Betty leaves behind one son: Bill Bensley of Holdenville, OK, her daughter, Laura Spencer of Vinita, one brother, Levaughn Kerr of Webb City, MO, a sister, Willa Faye Collins of Vinita, four grandchildren, and sixteen great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, David Bensley. Graveside services will be Friday November 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Louis Shawnee Indian Cemetery Near White Oak, with Don Greenfeather officiating, under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
