Betty June Dameron, longtime White Oak resident, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the St. John's Continuous Care Center in Tulsa. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Bluejacket to Frank C. and Janie Lora (Beaty) Clarkson. Betty was a graduate of Bluejacket High School. She married John L. "Bunk" Dameron on July 19, 1954 in Miami; he preceded her in death on April 24, 2005. Betty worked many years for Cinch Connectors, where she retired after over 30 years of service. Betty really enjoyed being a wife and her time with Bunk. She was a member of the Baptist Church. The family includes: her daughters, Patsy Sutton and husband Brian of Nowata, Jackie Winsell and husband Mike of Tanner, Alabama; a brother Arnett Clarkson of Hawaii; grandchildren, John Glen "Sam" Dameron, Janie Winsell, Timothy Sutton, Tiffany Sutton, Karen "Kate" Teague, Brian Lee Sutton; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Troy and John "BJ". Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, siblings, Laura Teal, Raymond Clarkson, Charles Clarkson, Harold Clarkson, and Troy Clarkson. The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the White Oak Baptist Church, with Rev. Claud Strong officiating. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
