Betty Griggs

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Betty Jean (Moore) Griggs, 76 year old lifetime resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on February 13, 2017. Betty was born on October 4, 1940. She was the daughter of Vernie and Lottie (Ray) Moore. Betty graduated from Grove High School in 1959. She was united in marriage to Louis Griggs on January 27, 1960 in Jay, Oklahoma. Betty worked as the Dietary Manager for the local nursing homes. She enjoyed reading and preparing meals for her family, decorating cakes and sewing. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be greatly missed by all. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Vernie and Lottie Moore and her husband Louis, who passed in 2006. She is survived by her two daughters Betty Vanderpool and Kim Cramer and her husband Jon all of Grove, two brothers; Curtis Moore and his wife Polly of Rawlings Wyoming, and Bill Moore and his wife Vicki of Wichita Kansas, one sister; Florence Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah. Betty was blessed with four grandchildren; Kevin Jackson (Heather Swayze) and Tressa Jackson-Sanchez (Tony Wright), Tanya Houck and Wendi Jackson and twelve great grandchildren; Cierra Jackson, Alex Jackson, Jessie Sanchez, Leevi Bostater, Draven Trujillo, Krisiliy Trujillo, Jeremias Trujillo, Tatum Johnson, Madison Horton, Lidia Horton, Andrew Veack, and Katelyn Houck. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8PM, Thursday, February 16, 2017 and with the services scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2017 both held at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma.
