Betty Haslett

Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita, 918-256-5555..........Betty Lou Haslett, long time Vinita resident, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016. She was born February 18, 1929 in Whitebird, Oklahoma. Betty was the daughter of Lewis Jasper White and Cora Cathryn (Wright) White. She had lived in Vinita since 1950. Betty attended the First United Methodist Church of Vinita and sang in the choir for many years. She was the co-owner of Haslett drug store. Betty enjoyed being a member of the Eastern Star and Delphi organizations. Betty is survived by her two daughters Lisa Lynne and Jayne Ann Haslett both of Vinita, Oklahoma. One sister-in law Ina Lou Moudy of Henryetta, Oklahoma and a brother-in-law Robert J. Quintana of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also had several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was proceded by her beloved husband Robert Haslett on March 1, 1998. A visitation will held on Tuesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Mrs Haslett's funeral service will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Vinita at 2:00 pm. Reverend Sonja Tobey will be officiating.
