Betty Humphrey

Betty Jeanne Humphrey, 82 year old resident of Vinita, died early Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born May 21, 1928 in Guthrie to Ivan Wayne and Rhetta Dona (Robinson) Morgan. Betty worked in nursing at the Eastern State Hospital in Vinita. She was a member of the Pentecostal House of Prayer in Vinita. The family includes: her children, Vicki Hall of Claremore, Tony Humphrey of Claremore, Garoyl Humphrey and Calvin Humphrey both of Vinita; two brothers, Walter Morgan of Alexandria, Louisiana, Bobby Morgan of Pensacola, Oklahoma, three sisters, Frankie Penn and Cherry Bunn both of Tulare, California and Rilla Slichenmyer of Welch; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Alan Morgan. The funeral will be held Wednesday April 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor Ona Morgan officiating.
