Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita 918-256-5555 -- Betty Lee Taylor, 85 year old former Vinita resident, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Senior Suites Healthcare facility in Broken Arrow. She was born on March 27, 1929 in Tulsa to Raymond Frances Headrick and Edna Golda (Epperson) Headrick. Betty attended school in Sand Springs, graduated from Bluejacket, the attended college in Miami at NEO A&M. She married Kenneth Taylor on December 13, 1947 in Vinita, He preceded her in death in 1993. Betty was a member of the Timberhill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, doing seamstress work, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, canning, gardening, watching her two favorite baseball teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers. Preceding her in death were her Parents, Husband and brother Willis Headrick. The family includes: a daughter, Karna Bilger and husband Larry of Tulsa, a son Tony Taylor and wife Donna of Wetumka; grandchildren, Scott Taylor, Heather Boss, Michelle Bilger, Brian Bilger, Melinda Neal; great-grandchildren, Cameron Bass, Breanna Neal, Morgan Nelson, Julianne Nelson, Anna, Joann and Larry Bilger. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Bluejacket Cemetery, with Pastor Robert Taylor officiating.
