Beulah Ironside

Beulah Beth (Nicholas) Ironside, age 78 and longtime Vinita resident, died Saturday July 18, 2009. Beulah was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 11, 1931 the daughter of Earl and Blanche (Jones) Nicholas. On November 4, 1959 she was united in marriage to Charles Robert Ironside. They made there home in Vinita and together raised 9 children. Beulah loved her family and enjoyed giving them a hard time. She was a caregiver and a retired Cinch employee. In her free time she enjoyed reading, watching sci-fi, and sold Avon. Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband Charles Ironside, son Terry Lee Babcock, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Survivors include her children Susie Veach and husband Howard "Chief", Betty Ironside and husband Tubby Hardrick, Bobbie Chase and husband Jay, Fredena Ironside and husband George Estes, Charles Ironside and wife Shelly all of Vinita, Georgia Morgan and husband Britt of Wichita, KS, Artela Cabe and husband Steve of Adair, Rowena Looney and husband Hoss of Bluejacket, two sisters Leona Throckmorton of Wichita, KS, and Jean Mansfield of Kansas City, KS, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Vinita. Interment will follow at Timpson Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. The family asks that in memory of their mother everyone at sometime in the near future do a random act of kindness. She was very strong willed and admired by many people. She will be missed deeply everyday.
