Beverly Kay King

Beverly Kay King, 82, of Tulsa and formerly of Bartlesville, OK passed away Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Beverly was born October 24, 1941, to Eugene Comstock and Ferne (Mendenhal) Comstock in Bartlesville, OK.   She grew up in Bartlesville and lived in several places during her lifetime, including Dallas, New Orleans, Vicksburg, and Tulsa.  Beverly was a receptionist for Dr. Denise Spears Roddy, O.D., PC for many years, helping Dr. Roddy establish and grow her business into what is now Advanced Eye Care.

Beverly enjoyed gardening and reading and loved spending time with her family.  Before taking a position with Dr. Roddy, she often volunteered in Tulsa Public Schools.

Survivors include her life partner, Lloyd Brockman; one son, Brian King and wife, Peg; one daughter, Kelly Byrd; one brother, Larry Comstock; one sister, Karen Boles; four grandchildren, Anne King, Sam King, Will Byrd and Jared Byrd and three great-grandchildren, Dyani Byrd, Maxine Marbel and Cleo King.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Ferne Comstock and by one sister, Shirley Corzine.

Memorial service for Beverly Kay King will be held, 11am, Thursday, April 25, 2024, in the Chapel of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. She will be interred in Bartlesville’s Memorial Park Cemetery.
