Billie Juanita “Nita” Collie Obituary
Juanita “Nita” Collie went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 24, 2024. She was 90 years old.
Nita was born February 28, 1933, to William R. and Rachel E. (Shook) Smith at Ft. Riley, Kansas. She will now join her husband and love of her life of 61 years, Bill, whom she is looking forward to being reunited with for the rest of eternity.
Nita was a member of the Bartlesville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed ceramics, played on a Phillips-sponsored volleyball team, loved gardening, which resulted in her beautiful yard, and enjoyed square dancing for thirteen years.
Anyone who became a friend of Nita’s was a friend for life as she was very loyal. Nita loved animals and none went hungry if they found their way to her home. She had several bird feeders that got filled twice a day.
Survivors include her beloved son, Darrell W. Collie of Bartlesville and her brother, Bob Smith and his wife, Estelle of Conway, Arkansas, as well as many nieces and nephews of whom she was most fond. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday and Thursday, 8am-7pm at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Private family services will be held with entombment at Bartlesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Those who wish are asked to donate to the Washington County ASPCA in memory of Nita.
