Billie Ray Goodart, 82 year old, Welch area resident, passed away Friday April 29, 2011, following a sudden illness. Billie was born on June 19, 1928 in Rogers, Arkansas, and was raised by his mother Nettie and stepfather Tom Turner. Billie worked for Boeing for seven years before he became a professional painter. He worked for several different people over the years, but primarily for himself. On July 3, 1951 in Springdale, Arkansas, Billie married Virgina (Kingsley). After Billie Retired He became a farmer. He enjoyed farming and was always working in the field, he also enjoyed all sorts of fishing and enjoyed taking his family to fish. Billie was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Madaline Fletcher and a grandchild, Robert Dean Hensley. Billie is survived by his wife Virgina, of the home, daughter Virginia Hensley and husband Dean, of Fairland, Oklahoma, sons, Billy Jerome Goodart and wife Pauline, Jerry Goodart and wife Pam, of West Plains, Missouri, and David Green, of Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Billie is also survived by eight grandchildren, BJ Goodart, Jeremy Goodart, Jessica Goodart, Jason Goodart, Jacob Goodart, Tina Franks, Amanda Hensley, and Richard Hensley, and many great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
