Billy D. Bond, 72 years old Jay Oklahoma resident passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, following a sudden illness. Billy was born on December 26, 1938 to John Elmo and Edna Bell (Easley) Bond. He served in the United States Army from 1959 - 1965 during the Berlin Crisis. Billy had several occupations of the years working for Franklyn Electric, Daisy Air Rifles, and as a produce manager of a grocery store. Billy was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening as well as a big folk music fan. In his younger years Billy enjoyed playing the guitar as well as singing. Billy is survived by his wife, Frances, of the home, daughters Martha Boyer and husband Roger of Gentry Arkansas, Marilyn Bond of the home, JoAnn Dillinger and husband Byron, of Jay, Oklahoma, brother Johnny Bond and wife Lois, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, sisters Lois Hutchison of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Dorothy Bond of California, Irene Jones of California, Mary Lee and husband Roy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Patricia SanMigal of Arkansas, Donna Garrett of Gentry Arkansas, and Betty Peel of Arizona. Billy is also survived by four grandchildren, Nena Boyer, Christopher Boyer, Anthony Downing and Jesse Downing, and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma. Graveside services for Billy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City, Arkansas. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
