Billy Lee Harding, 92, passed away on August 1, 2016 at his home on Honey Creek, and now is rejoicing with his Lord and Savior. Billy was born on September 28, 1923 in the Dodge Community area. He was the son of Jefferson Davis and Ruby Lee (Hepler) Harding. He was part of "The Greatest Generation", he grew up during the Great Depression and then served his country during World War II, while in the Army. Bill was a man of integrity, a man of his word, a devoted man of God, and believed in the Golden Rule, "treat everyone the way you would want to be treated". He was a bee keeper and a master gardener. Bill was proud that he could provide and feed his family from the land. Bill was a very devoted husband father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Bill will be greeted in Heaven by his parents Jeff and Ruby, one brother Paul Harding, and two sisters Grace Harding and Bethel Harding. He leaves behind to live out his legacy, his wife of seventy one years, Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Harding of the home, three sons Bill Harding Jr., and his wife Angelina of the Dodge community, James Harding and his wife Cheryl of Jay, OK, David Harding and his wife Becky of Jay, OK; five daughters; Linda Thompson of Tulsa, OK, Laurel Clark of Santa Clarita, CA, Jeannie Stiles and her husband Bill of Berryville, AR, Mary Jo Harding of McAlester, OK and Rebecca Lynn Chuma of Overland Park, KS. Bill was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Southwest City, MO with Brother Rob Grimm and Lonnie Sanders officiating.
