Bobbie June Hagebusch, 78, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed from this life on June 10, 2011 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK after a short illness. June was born October 20, 1932 to James and Freeda (Green) Hughes Rose in Nowata, OK. Mrs. Hagebusch attended school in Talala, OK and then the family moved to Nowata, OK where she graduated from Nowata High School with the class of 1950. June went to work for the Southwestern Bell Telephone CO. after graduation. On August 6, 1950, she married James Edward Hagebusch. J.E. and June were foster parents to numerous children from baby to teenager. They later adopted two boys that they fostered. Bobbie enjoyed volunteering at the Nowata Historical Museum and also liked to deliver Meals on Wheels. She volunteered at the school by reading to the children. Bobbie was a member of the Nazarene Church where she enjoyed playing the piano. She also enjoyed playing the accordion. She had many interests which included growing flowers, gardening, and camping. She enjoyed traveling and liked spending time at The Bear's Den Resort in Grove, OK. Bobbie is survived by her husband, James Edward; two daughters Brenda Smith and husband Richard of Nowata, Nancy Westfall and husband Mark of Grove, OK; three sons, Kenneth Hagebusch, Billy Hagebusch and Walter Hagebusch all of Nowata, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters; Emma Harris of Claremore, OK., Sylvia Landes of Tulsa, OK., and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, James and Freeda Hughes, a brother--, Bobby Edward Hagebusch, a granddaughter, Amy Hanigan, a brother in law, Marion Landes and a sister in law, Janilee Reeves. Funeral Services for Mrs. Hagebusch will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ron Height officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences can be left at www.honoringmemories.com
