Bobby Jack Badley, 71 year-old long time Strang resident, died at his home Saturday, January 12, 2008, after an extended illness. He was born November 9, 1936 in Strang to Ed and Lela (Booton) Badley. Bobby Jack was married to Georgia Mae Trice on July 2, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma. He served his country in the United States Navy. Bobby Jack was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 943 and worked for the Flintco Construction Company of Tulsa. Bobby Jack enjoyed his family being together for fish and hog fries, throwing horse shoes, working on the farm and making wheel swings. He and Georgia Mae were always together, they would have been married 50 years this year. The family includes; his wife Georgia Mae Badley of the home, three children, Linda Badley, Jack Badley both of Strang, Rich Badley and wife Teri of Langley, step-daughter, Helen June Carlisle; sister Betty Jo Boswell of Nowata; brother Ed Badley and wife Buffy of Monett, Missouri; five grandchildren, Vanessa, Mitch, Tyler, Brenton and Cheyenne and one great-grandchild Kali, there are numerous other relatives also. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jackie Badley. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley. The funeral will be held, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ketchum Southern Baptist Church, with Reverend Kevin Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery near Spavinaw. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
