Bobby Joe Davis of Eucha, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2010 in Liberty, Missouri. He was born on July 25, 1930 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Vennett Frank and Lucille Davis (McKelvey). He graduated from Chickasha High School. He served in the National Guard. He was deployed during the Korean War and served his country with honor. He worked as a store manager for S H Kress Company for many years. He worked for TG&Y as a store manager, regional supervisor and as a district manager. He married the love of his life Kathryn Johnson on December 25, 1950. They spent fifty-nine happy years together until Kathryn's death on October 24, 2009. He was an honest hard-working family man. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother Buren and his son Richard Wesley Davis. Survivors include his children Robert Davis, Suzanne Lopez, Liz Davis, and husband John Quick and James Davis, his grandchildren Adrienne and Peter Marquis, Helena Lopez, Davis Chick, Robert Wesley Davis, Melissa Davis, Mikhail, Paige, Errol and Colton Davis and great grandchildren Sophia and Troy. We will love and miss him everyday. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday June 20, 2010 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. There will be a short prayer service at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at the Eucha Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
