Brian Mott Shoff, 59, longtime Dewey and Bartlesville resident, passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 of complications of heart disease. Mr. Shoff was born on February 14, 1949 in Bartlesville, the son of the late Dolores (Prichard) and Brady M. Shoff. The late maternal grandparents were Stella "Honey" (Armstrong) and Vern Prichard. He married Mary L. Brown of Dewey in April of 1983. A celebration of Mr. Shoff's life will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at East Bartlesville Christian Church at 3221 E. Tuxedo Blvd. at 3:00 pm. Services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Ushers for the service will be his nephews: Vern Cook, Jonathan & Michael Joy, Brian & Brady Rickman, Drew Brown, and Jonathan Pewe. Other nephews include Keith and Josh Stevens, Christopher Pewe and the late Benjamin Rickman. Readings will be given by his nieces Kelly Cook and Maggie Moser. There will be no interment. He attended Bartlesville Schools, graduating from College High School in 1967. He then graduated from Oklahoma State University. Mr. Shoff was employed by Hopper and Coast Construction companies with combined service of over 30 years. He was a realtor in the area and active with the Board of Realtors. As a youth he was active in the Boy Scouts and attended the Order of the Arrow. He continued to live his life using values trained by the Boy Scouts. He was a Christian. Brian was best known for his welcoming words and hands to people of all walks of life. He is survived by his loving wife Mary L. (Brown) Shoff, daughter Keri C. Shoff, and granddaughter "Princess" Emilee Anne Shoff. He is also survived by sisters Deborah A. Joy (twin) of Fenton, MO., Gretchen L. Moser, Stella E. Shoff, (both of Bartlesville), Barbara J. Shoff, other siblings include Richard B. Shoff of Kannapolis, N.C. and Mary Susan Shoff of Florida and a very special loving friend, Sandi Brown, of Blue Springs, MO. He will be greatly missed by many, many other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to an educational fund for his granddaughter Emilee Anne at Trustee, 912 SE. Delaware, Bartlesville, OK 74003. Donations of used goods may also be made to Tuesday House and Mary Martha Outreach.
