Bruce Ford was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 25, 1926 to Ethel Tousley Ford and Roy B. Ford. He passed away at his home in Spavinaw, OK February 18, 2012. After growing up in Lincoln he graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Engineering. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II primarily in the European Theater. Bruce moved to Tulsa, OK in 1950, and married Betty Bloss in 1951, and had four children. He retired from Fibercast at Sand Springs after a lengthy career as plant manager. Bruce married Phyllis Baggett and made their home in Spavinaw for the last twenty eight years. He and Phyllis, the love of his life, enjoyed lots of fishing time on Spavinaw Creek. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Ford and a sister Virginia Gunther. He is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis, four children, Barb Cwayna and her husband Greg, Jody Dyer, Cathy Williams and husband Kenny and Tom Ford and his wife Karen, also surviving are eight grandchildren, Sevie Winkeljohn and husband Tim, Daniel Kite and wife Ashley, Lori Smith and husband Aaron, Heather Cwayna, Erica Miller and husband Matthew, Amanda Dyer, Leanne Williams and fiancée Jason Stephens and Evan Williams, four great grand- children, Ashley Munoz, Ryan Ferguson, Jaxon Kite and Trevor Winkeljohn. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Tulsa SPCA or the Alzheimer's Association. Private family services are planned at a later date.
